My lifelong dedication to art has guided me through a journey marked by boundless creativity and artistic evolution. Originally from Massachusetts and educated in design and fine art in California, I began my career in interior design, crafting vibrant and impactful commercial and retail spaces across the U.S.

As my path unfolded, I found a deeper calling in education, channeling my background in design and love for fine arts into becoming a visual arts educator. Yet, at the heart of it all, I have always remained an artist. Painting has long been my sanctuary—a place where design, memory, and emotion converge.

I paint the subjects I find most interesting and want to explore. Sometimes it’s a person, an animal, or an abstract feeling. I express all of these through a lens of abstract realism, using a contained color palette of corals, blues, greens, pinks, purples, and yellows. These colors reflect my love for experimenting with hue and my ongoing exploration of color harmony—how different tones can evoke mood, emotion, and movement within a piece.

Texture plays a central role in my process. I often build it through layers of paint or by using cut shapes as stencils, which create a fabric-like quality across the canvas. This layered surface brings a tactile dimension to the work, inviting closer inspection and adding visual richness.
My compositions blend whimsical subject matter with abstracted backgrounds, bold outlines, and vibrant textures. I enjoy the contrast of simplicity and complexity, using form, color, and surface to guide each piece.

I often draw inspiration from my childhood in The Berkshires, where the lush gardens and natural landscapes shaped my early visual language. Now a proud Texan for the past six years, I’m equally influenced by the beauty of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, particularly its public gardens and vibrant creative community.

My work is a testament to the merging of my design sensibilities, educational experiences, and a lifelong connection to the expressive power of art.
